Join Kyoshi Jason on a Budo and Cultural experience.
Join us on a martial arts adventure across Japan, blending Budo with cultural exploration. The Omoikiri Budo Road Trip takes us from the historic heart of Kyoto, through Nagoya and Shizuoka, and finally into vibrant Tokyo.
Together, we’ll train in traditional dojos, immerse ourselves in samurai history, and experience the sights, tastes, and spirit of Japan, together as a Dojo community.

City - by - City Itinerary
Arrive Kyoto - 3 nights
Arrive at Osaka International Airport and transfer directly to Kyoto by bus
2 karate sessions in Kyoto, with more to be announced.
Explore: Samurai & Ninja Museum, Inari shrine, Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Day trip: Visit Himeji and its world-famous castle, and Nara’s giant Buddha.
From Kyoto to Nagoya - 1 night
Visit the Sekigahara Museum, dedicated to one of Japan’s most important samurai battles
The battle at Sekigahara was the beginning of the Tokugawa Shogunate, a period of time in Japan which forged the Budo spirit and sculpture the Martial Arts.
We will also have time to explore Nagoya castle and gardens.
Nagoya to Kakegawa - 1 night
Experience Japan’s finest tea culture with a local tea experience
Enjoy the scenery and slower pace of Shizuoka before moving on to Tokyo
Kacho-en Bird & Flower Park
A unique attraction where you walk among tropical birds, owls, flamingos, and seasonal flowers.
Hands-on, very popular with both kids and adults.
Kasahara Kannon Temple
Peaceful temple surrounded by nature, good for a quiet visit.
Kakegawa to Tokyo - 3 nights
Karate training and sightseeing in Japan’s capital

*if you are even thinking about participating, get onto your passport info now. You need to have min 6 months validity upon arrival in Japan.
TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN and then Train some more.
We cover some distance on tour, and there is a heap of training, not always on mat’s. So the more prepared you can be the more fun we’ll all have together.
